How does BonkersBids work?
BonkersBids auction brand new, top of the range products with as much as 99% off the RRP. We auction products such as HDTVs, games consoles, mobiles phones, holiday vouchers and we are planning to auction a brand new car before the end of the year.
Because BonkersBids is still a fairly new penny auction website you have a much greater chance of bagging the bargains you want. You may have used Madbid or Swoopo in the past, these website have thousands of customers bidding on the same auction as you, this makes it quite difficult to win the auction you want. Because BonkersBids has only been trading for a few months we have less customers on our website, therefore you have less competition when bidding on your item.
Step 1 - Register for free
1. Click on the register button at the top right of the webpage. You will be taken to the registration page where you will have to fill in your name, email address and date of birth (you need to be 18 or over to register). Registration only takes 1 minute and is totally risk free, we wont ask for any personal details or credit card details.
2. Once you have registered you will be sent an activation email, if it is not in your inbox please check your email junk/spam folder as it might have went in there.
Step 2 - Buy Bids
1. Once you have activated your account, log into your user area and have a look around. You then need to navigate to the Purchase Bids page by following the link in the menu on the left. This will present you with several different bid packs for you to choose from. The higher the bid pack, the cheaper the bids will be. Please also look out for current promotions that will give you extra bids, making the bid price even cheaper.
2. When you have chosen the amount of bids you want to purchase, click on the Purchase using PayPal button. You do not need a paypal account to pay, you can use your credit or debit card. PayPal is one of the most popular and secure payment processors on the internet.
3. We do not store, nor can we see any of your payment or credit card information, when you click the purchase button on our website, you will be taken to the secure PayPal page where they will process your payment, once processed you will be redirected to BonkersBids and the bids will be credited to your account automatically.
Step 3 - Find your auction
1. Go to the auctions page and watch a few auctions so you can get an idea of how they work. The auctions run on a timer, when the auction reaches zero the last person who placed a bid wins the auction.
2. To give everyone a fair chance, when a bid is placed 30 - 70 seconds will be added to the auction.
3. Every time you place a bid it will be subtracted from your Bid bank.
Step 4 - Win your Auction
1. If you place a bid, and the timer reaches 00:00:00 then you have won the auction. You will have to pay the auction price plus the postage and packaging (this is shown in the shipping information on the action page) Apart from that there are no hidden fees.
2. If you look at the ended auction below, you will see that 573James001 won the auction for £50 cash for only 63p. He placed his bid, no one else placed a bid before the timer reached zero, so he won the auction.
3. Once you have won your action, you need to go to your account and fill in your shipping and billing address, please make sure these are correct as this is where will will ship your item.
4. Once you have filled in your address and checked it is correct, go to the 'Won Auctions' link in the menu and your won auction will be in there, now you need to pay the insanely small amount for your product, click on the Pay link and it will take you to PayPal to pay.
4. Once you have paid, your item will be shipped. Normally within 2 days but please allow up to 10 days. We will email you with a shipping code so you can keep track of your product.
How does the bid butler work?
If you dont have time to sit and watch your auction why dont you use the bid butler!
Just put in your starting bid amount. (the point you want your bid butler to start bidding for you, e.g £0.30)
Put in your maximum bid, this is the highest you want to pay for the item, e.g £2.
Put in how many bids you want them to place for you. e.g if you want to spend 50 bids on the product, put 50 in there, the bid butler will stop bidding once it gets to 50.
